This workshop, held in April 1999, was designed to exchange information on how the nutritional quality of relief diets can be enhanced at the regional and local levels. The focus of the workshop was on improving micronutrient content. There are many options to improving nutritional quality of diets and this workshop weighed some of these options. Workshop presenters drew upon progress made in the ‘development’ context and make linkages to the ‘relief ’ context.
