  • African Journals Online (AJOL)
    Read African-published scholarly journals online; titles include crop science, food security, and environment among many others. Access is free!
 
  • Biotechnology and Development Monitor
    This quarterly journal is produced by The Network University of the Netherlands in cooperation with the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs, IDRC, and SIDA.
    It analyses world-wide developments in biotechnology, and trade and technology related international regulation, in the context of its socio-economic implications for developing countries. The Monitor maintains a rigorously independent position and is not linked to any organization with vested interests in biotechnology.  The Monitor provides a forum for discussion on the positive and/or negative impact of biotechnological innovations and international regulations on issues such as economic growth, agricultural production, food security, shifts in national and global markets, access to technology, employment, social differentiation and human rights. The analyses are of an interdisciplinary nature, with an emphasis on the integration of theoretical and empirical information from social sciences and natural sciences.
 
  • The Courier
    Bi-monthly development magazine of the ACP-EU
    The Courier is produced by a multicultural team of journalists within DG Development of the European Commission. Published in English and French, each issue of The Courier contains 'Country Reports' of the current economic and political outlook in specific ACP states, and the 'Dossier' which generally covers a sector or theme of particular interest to developing countries.

    Quarterly Newsletter of the Emergency Nutrition Network (ENN)
    Contains field level articles and current research and evaluation findings relevant to the emergency food and nutrition sector.
  • Food Forum
    Quarterly Newsletter of Food Aid Management (FAM)
    Contains field- and headquarters-level articles by FAM members and other colleagues in the food aid community.  Regularly appearing columns include FANTA Project Updates, News from Washington, and topical bibliographies of resources in FAM's Food Security Resource Center.

    Quarterly Publication of the World Hunger Education Service
    Seeks to inform, facilitate communication, and promote collective commitment to solutions to hunger and poverty.  Departments focus on Africa, Asia, other areas of the world, the U.S., Nutrition, Health and Population.  Also contains book reviews.
 
  • eJADE
    The Electronic Journal of Agricultural and Development Economics is a new publication launched in 2004 by the Agricultural and Development Economics Division of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).

  • E-LEISA
    LEISA (Low External Input Sustainable Agriculture) is published quarterly by the
    Centre for Information on Low External Input and Sustainable Agriculture (ILEIA). By documenting the diverse experiences of small farmers, with special reference to those in marginal areas, ILEIA has highlighted their role in the creation of agricultural knowledge, and the importance of this knowledge for ecological sustainability and food security.
 
  • Natural Resource Perspectives
    Occasional publication of Overseas Development Institute's (ODI) Rural Policy and Environment Group.  Presents current development issues in natural resources management.
 
  • Refugee Nutrition Information System (RNIS)
    Published every 3 months by the United Nations/Administrative Coordinating Committee/Subcommittee on Nutrition (UN/ACC/SCN), this periodical provides recent nutritional, health, and mortality data on refugee and internally displaced populations, mainly in Sub-Saharan Africa and Asia.
