FAM Environmental Working Group: Statement of Purpose and Objectives
The FAM Environmental Working Group actively leads and advocates awareness for international relief and development programs. By incorporating environmental awareness factors into design and decision making, we facilitate effective preservation of resources.
The objectives of the Environmental Working Group (EWG) are to develop and implement training strategy for environmentally sound programming.
The EWG provides a forum for:
- identifying and addressing key issues
- resource and information sharing
- facilitating information transfer
- module development
- development of monitoring, mitigation, and evaluation plans
- USAID/PVO collaboration on environmental activities
- trainings
- regional multi-disciplinary approaches
